Running this in a room

Teaching with this product is a different job from using it. These notes are what a class needs that a reader working alone does not.

Before the class

Pick the ticker before the class and open every screen once. Free sources rate-limit, and a screen that answered for you at nine will answer for thirty people at ten only if it was cached at nine.
Choose a company that files with the SEC. A London or Mumbai line teaches the same lesson but adds a currency question you may not want on day one.
Decide which equity risk premium the class will use, and say that you decided it. The disagreement between the two is the lesson, not a detail to smooth.

Have the room read the as-of before the figure, every time, until it is a habit. It is the single practice that prevents the most wrong answers.
When a screen shows an unavailable state, teach it. A named missing source is a real research condition and pretending it is a malfunction teaches the opposite of what this product is for.
Checkpoint questions are not graded and are not scored anywhere. If a student asks what the right answer is, the answer is the method.

Progress is stored in the reader's own browser and nowhere else. There is no class roster, no submission and nothing for you to collect — if you need evidence of work, collect the worksheet.
The limits section is worth reading aloud at the end rather than the start. It lands once a room has spent an hour finding out how much the tool does do.

A viewer does not consume a seat, so a class can read without being provisioned. Saving a portfolio or exporting a table does need one.
